Masoud: Proud Persian
I consider my Iranian-American background to be amongst one of my biggest assets.
I am proud of my heritage and I think it is my responsibility to uphold the traditions, values, and fondness of a culture that's 5,000 years in the making. My upbringing is unique in that I lived in Tehran till I was 11 and so I have a dual mentality: some things in the American culture I do not fully comprehend, while some things in the Persian culture I do not understand, either. It has made me a more well-rounded person and I am able to analyze whatever life throws at me in a multi-faceted manner.
